Section 1 (2 hours)

The Global and Local Telecommunications Market – Regulatory Authorities and Standardization Organizations. Telecommunication Resources Management, (Spectrum – Charges).

Section 2 (4 hours)

Basic Financial (Financial Statements, Investments) and Business Administration (High Technology Companies, Project Management, Risk Management) and Strategic Management. Application: Management, Promotion and Life Cycle of Telecommunication Products.

Section 3 (4 hours)

Introduction to Network Management: Basic Concepts and Architecture (Network Management Standards, Network Management Architecture, Abstract Syntax Notation (ASN.1)). Basic Tools and Network Management Systems (Basic Concepts, Standard TMN, Implementation Technologies: OSI, SNMP, CORBA, Web Services, Data Mining).

Section 4 (12 hours)

Laboratory network management exercises with the GNS3 simulator in CISCO architecture.

Section 5 (2 hours)

Wireless and mobile communication network management.

Section 6 (2 hours)

Laboratory exercises for wireless and mobile communication network management.
